Is Your Firm Future Ready?

If you knew what the future held, how would you respond? Rebecca Ryan is a futurist, an economist (don't hold that against her) and is described as a "human spark plug." In this session, Rebecca will share insights about the future workforce, next-gen technologies, trending social and workplace norms, family configurations, and more to help YOU shape (or reshape) a firm that's future-ready. Bonus: You'll also learn how to think like a futurist, so you and your firm are not caught flat-footed.

Rebecca Ryan is a human sparkplug. She is one part economist, one part futurist, and one part humorist (That’s right: economists can be funny). Rebecca inspires audiences to think differently about the future…their future. Author of Life First, Work Second, and ReGENERATION, Rebecca is earning accolades as "a voice for the next generation.”

Technology Futures – 2013

Technology is the accelerator for growth within today’s firms and the real potential can be found when future-focused knowledge is shared firm-wide. Rick Richardson has been providing technology futures forecasts to CPAs for over 30 years and he will share his vision of both the short and longer‐term future technologies important to the accounting professional.

Topics will include a review of prior‐year predictions, what major‐market companies are doing and how their actions will affect all of us, current trends in hardware, software and communications as well as emerging technologies that will bring those trends into reality. Rick will also highlight how technology is impacting training and learning and he will conclude with his personal forecasts on our technology future.

Rick Richardson has been a technology futurist to CPAs for over 30 years. Prior to forming his multi-media and strategic technology consulting company, he had a 28-year career in technology with Ernst & Young, the last 12 years of which he served as National Director of Technology.
