How to Access the Knowledge Network Groups
The Boomer Knowledge Network is an online location where our communities can gather to register for events, participate in discussions and view documents from previous meetings.
To view the Knowledge Network, visit the Knowledge Network link at the top of this page, or you can access these sections by clicking on [My Groups] in the right pane navigation area.
Joining a Group
Joining a group will allow you to post to the forums or blogs (based on the group). You will only have read-only access until you join. Depending on the group, this will either be available in the Group Menu (right below the group title at the top of the page) or you will be asked to join before you see the group itself. Some groups require approval before being admitted.
How to Post a Message to the Forums
- Visit the Forums area of the Knowledge Network
- Determine which area your post most likely falls into (e.g., Human Capital, IT and Content Infrastructure, etc.)
- Enter a Title for your post
- Attach a file or image if desired
- Tag the post with any relevant terms (e.g., software, compensation, etc.)
- Enter your post text into the composition box
- Click [Submit]
How to Search for Specific Topics
Once you are in one of the three primary areas of the Knowledgebase (Forum, Library and Resources), you can visit several sub-sections and search for specific topics. To visit a sub-section, click [View All Posts »] at the bottom of the article listing.
For example, you might visit the Job Descriptions section of the Resources area and search for "audit manager”. You can also browse by tags, which are indicated at the top of every sub-section. How to play videos
A standard play button will appear in the center of the video box once the video is loaded and ready to stream. The controls will appear momentarily once the video begins playing and will reappear anytime you move the mouse pointer over the video content. Using the controls, you can adjust volume, skip ahead or enlarge the content to full screen. (Note: Videos viewed in full screen will play in somewhat lower quality.)How to request specific content
