Eric Benson
Eric Benson is the Director of Interactive Communications at Boomer Consulting, Inc. Joining the Boomer team in June of 2005, Eric is responsible for creating innovative channels to communicate with members of the Boomer Community.
Coming from a combination of science and design experience, Eric brings a unique set of skills to the Boomer Team. With a background in exercise physiology and a reinvention in graphic design, he can approach the online and technology projects at Boomer with either a structured approach or a creative one.
Eric‘s experience spans print design, project management, and more recently, web design and information architecture. His range of interests adds a new depth to the Boomer team as well. With a strong background in print design, Eric is able to contribute to the improvement of all Boomer materials. His interests in online communication and collaboration will help take the Boomer Technology Circles™ into new territory.
Eric’s work experience includes 10 years of print design, project management and general management. Although he was interested in web design, attending the Information Architecture Retreat in 2004 changed everything. His interests in online web design and development have taken over, and he can’t wait to get more into the tools a web architect uses.
Prior to joining Boomer, Eric worked for an international manufacturer of industrial spill control products. During his tenure there, he helped rebrand the company, including rolling out a new website, catalog, marketing plan and other printed materials.
Eric is a member of the Information Architecture Institute. He is a graduate of Kansas State University, with two degrees – a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
