Please join us for a fast paced, energizing hour to take the 2011 five word challenge. Are you ready for the year ahead, and do you feel comfortable that the following 5 words are a part of your firms positive and reaffirming vocabulary. Before you say "yes”, I would suggest that you invest an hour in this session and take the challenge.
The 5 words we will be exploring are:
Change: While we know that change has become a way of life for our industry, the reality is that firms are still resistant to change. The sooner we can learn to embrace the change around us and harness the power that "good change” can bring to our firm, the sooner we can capitalize on it.
Learning: A strategy for learning initiatives in the firm is just the first step to success in the area of learning in the firm. The next step is true commitment from the top level and the development of curiosity at all levels of the firm. A curiosity to learn and grow as a member of your firm community.
Teaching: Sometimes learning and teaching become intertwined, but the "T” word has to be used often and understood by everyone in the firm. Teaching is a form of learning, but developing a strong sense of passing intellectual capital from one person and one level to the next is imperative in the world we live in today.
Value: Everything that we have learned in school, through CPE, through our experience and in our interaction with others can be lumped into our personal intellectual capital. That intellectual capital has a vast amount of value that we must capture and pass on to everyone in the firm. This value is imperative to your success as a firm, and as a leader.
Communication: Communication in a firm is an ever growing and evolving initiative. It will never be perfect, and never be done, but it can always improve. Insuring that the conversation at the firm continues and new initiatives are implemented is the key to overall advancement.
At the end of this webinar, Sandra Wiley will discuss the 2011 Human Capital and Learning Symposium.
