August 2004 Circle Update

By the beginning of July, all Boomer Technology Circles™ have met at least once (BTC #4 has met twice) in 2004. In mid August the next round of meetings will be underway. During the quiet period between these cycles, we held the first meeting of a very special group, the BTC Advisory Board.

The BTC Advisory Board is comprised of one elected member from each Circle and has the purpose of providing advice, counsel and feedback to the Boomer Consulting staff on matters which are of interest to the BTC member firms. Representatives to the Advisory Board were selected during the May/June meetings of 2004.

On July 14th the Advisory Board met for the first time, in a teleconference hosted by Boomer Consulting, Inc. Six of the seven Circles were represented in attendance, and the one who was unable to attend was contacted in a separate phone call later. The agenda included feedback on what aspects of the Circle program are most beneficial to member firms, schedules and formats for meetings in 2005, the size and composition of circles, features of the Boomer Knowledge Network, and more.

The meeting generated extremely beneficial feedback on those things that are important to the Circle member firms. This in turn will allow Boomer Consulting, Inc. to respond and better meet the needs and desires of those member firms, resulting in a Circle program even more focused on member interests.

We at Boomer Consulting, Inc. are most appreciative of the time and thoughtfulness that the Advisory Board members put into this discussion. If your firm is a Circle member and you'd like to know more of the details of this call, be sure to contact your Circle Advisory Board Representative. If your firm is not yet a Circle member but you'd like to join this elite group of excellent firms working together to get even better, then contact Eric Hunt at 888-266-6375, ext 19 or erich@boomer.com.
