Run With a New Habit
What habit do you have that you would like to break, change or get rid of? Conversely, what habit would you like to make a part of your daily routine/experience?
Quoting from “The 21-Day Positive Focus” created by The Strategic Coach Inc., “everything depends on habit. Successful people are successful because of their habits.”
Set your goal
Try picking something in your job you would like to change or improve upon and visualize the end result. It takes 21 days to create a habit. Or, for that matter, break a less than desirable habit.
Focus on the positive
Focus on the positive aspects of the event, item or action. Daily identify the most important achievements made. You may need to look closely for small victories but focus none the less.
Mark the milestones
Set a day of the week as a milestone day to share your progress with a co-worker. Ask for their input to gauge your view of your progress.
Finally, at the end of the 21 days, CELEBRATE! Even if you do not totally reach your goal, look at the progress you have made.
