Password Protect a Laptop
We all know the importance of securing information on our laptops, but encryption technology can interfere with some applications, and requires more time and management. A great alternative is the hard drive password, already built into most laptops.
Although domain passwords may be strong, a hard drive removed from a computer can be attached to a $20 device (see image below) and accessed without a password just like a USB flash drive. The key feature of the built in hard drive password is that the password travels with the hard drive, making it unreadable by any system.
