Boomer Bulletin

Welcome aboard Doug and Scott!

Good morning Doug…good afternoon Scott – our newest additions to the Boomer Consulting staff.

As the Boomer organization has progressed, there developed need for a content manger/editor position. In the hiring/interview process, we discovered both Doug Donald and Scott Morrill.  Each brings unique abilities and talents to the organization. So much so that instead of hiring for one position we hired both.

About Doug

We say good morning to Doug Donald, our new Web Content Editor. Doug’s primary responsibility is to oversee our website’s ever-expanding document library and user forums, along with general content creation. His overall focus also includes editorial direction and advising. Doug additionally serves as Online Editor for the Manhattan Mercury and has previous experience working for Hewlett-Packard’s Open View division.

Doug and his wife, Paula, moved to Manhattan four years ago and are enjoying their stay in the Little Apple. They especially love spending time outdoors near their home along Tuttle Creek Lake, as well as discovering new hiking locales throughout the Flint Hills. They have become well-acquainted with several local coffee shops and restaurants, along with K-State’s multiple sports venues. Doug’s favorite quote from C.S. Lewis, "You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me" sums up his personality well. If you’re ever in the area, please stop by for a chat. He would love to “make your acquaintance.”

About Scott

We say good afternoon to Scott, as he works afternoons as one of our Content Developers.  He is researching industry hot-topics based on discussions generated at Boomer Technology Circle™ meetings and information gathered by Gary, Sandra, Ken and the rest of the staff.  He will conduct interviews and develop articles to facilitate sharing the wealth of information generated when industry leaders work together as part of the Boomer Circles.

Scott’s main purpose in life is to provide the best possible life for his family which includes his wife Melissa, his seven year old son Brent and three year old daughter Maggie.  He enjoys doing anything with friends and family but has the typical interests in traveling, sports, and reading.  He collects award winning movies and has a special interest in television production.  In what he calls one of his “luckiest breaks” he has been able to work in a number of roles for the Bill Snyder Show since 1991.  (It was in this capacity that he met his wife).

Scott also works as a Special Projects Coordinator for Audubon of Kansas, a conservation program dedicated to promoting the enjoyment, understanding, protection and restoration of natural ecosystems. He brings a unique set of talent and experience to Boomer with skills in advertising, web design and editing, television production, sales, accounting and writing.

You may reach Scot at scott.morrill@boomer.com.

We welcome both Doug and Scott to the Boomer team and look forward to the rewards their ideas and talents will bring to our team.
