Internal IT Organization
In this presentation, Fred Delacruz (Director, IT Infrastructure of J.H. Cohn LLP) describes the process followed by his firm when recently reorganizing its IT department. This presentation was delivered at a meeting of Boomer Technology Circle #4 members on June 19, 2007.
Mr. Delacruz begins by describing a management consulting exercise that jump-started the process and continues by identifying the key elements of the reorganization. The presentation ends with a description of new job roles and responsibilities, along with the challenges, top ten success factors and future initiatives.
Circle members show particular interest in the role of the Business Analysts and also have lively discussions about Partnership opportunities for IT managers and methods to evaluate the ROI of technology investments.
