Manhattan, Kan., October 22, 2012 – Accounting Today recognized Alan Long, Managing Partner of Baldwin CPAs, as one of the 10 outstanding firm leaders included in their inaugural Managing Partner Elite list.

The new Managing Partner Elite list is designed to recognize managing partners that have made a significant positive impact in their firm over many years. Those included on this list have evolved from managing administrative function to truly managing strategy, profit people and change.

The firm leaders chosen for the inaugural Managing Partner Elite list have the following characteristics:

  • Lead the development of strategic and succession plans in their firm
  • View their staff as the firm’s most valuable resource as shown in HR policies and work-life balance
  • Recognize the importance of technology and how it can give their firm a strategic advantage
  • Have been with their firm for most of their entire career

"Being recognized as one of the elite managing partners in the country is an honor,” said Long. "This recognition is also a testament to my partners and staff at Baldwin CPAs. I will continue to strive for excellence as a managing partner and will use peer networks such as The CEO Advantage to do so.”

Because of his progressive strategies in practices, policies and technology Long was selected as one of the ten recipients, out of thousands submitted.  From integrating iPads, portals and video conferencing to launching a formal training and learning program, he’s kept his firm on the cutting edge.
