In the wake of Microsoft’s decision to stop distribution of its Microsoft® Office® Accounting software, the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters is reminding its users that it offers an easy data import solution for any clients wanting to migrate from Microsoft Office Accounting. Write-Up CS® users can import Microsoft Office Accounting business, balance, and transaction data directly into Thomson Reuters Client Bookkeeping Solution® (CBS). CBS is a fully functional check writing and bookkeeping program that the accountant can customize with the functions, modules, and capabilities that work best for both the client and the accounting firm.
Scott Fleszar, senior director of Strategic Marketing for the Tax & Accounting business of
Thomson Reuters, said the functionality paves the way for a smooth transition for accountants as they transition their clients from Microsoft Office Accounting to CBS.
"We’re pleased to offer a quick solution for accountants needing to provide their clients with a viable alternative to Microsoft Office Accounting,” Fleszar said. "Migrating clients to CBS is also a great opportunity for accountants to serve as a trusted software provider while gaining more control over their clients’ accounting procedures.”
Write-Up CS helps tax and accounting professionals provide customized accounting services that meet the needs of diverse and demanding clients, as well as value-added analytical services. CBS allows firms to provide their clients with bookkeeping and check writing solutions while maintaining complete control over their accounting. CBS can be deployed by the accountant to the client either in a standard local desktop install, or as a web hosted application accessed via a secure, private client portal that the client accesses through the accounting firm’s website.
