Efficient content creation with Generative AI
One area where technology can save a lot of time is content creation. One of my duties is to assemble new resources for the Boomer Knowledge Network (BKN), a platform with tools, resources and courses designed for the accounting profession.
We’re constantly updating the BKN with new training videos. However, it would be challenging for our busy consultants to keep up with the pace of content creation. So, we found tools that can reduce the workload while maintaining high-quality outputs.
The process begins with our consultants, who either prepare an outline or record themselves discussing new trends, challenges, opportunities, and other topics for our members. Then, I plug this raw content into a Generative AI tool like ChatGPT to produce professional-grade video scripts.
While these scripts require editing to reflect our tone of voice and ensure they’re tailored to our members’ needs, ChatGPT is excellent for converting unstructured input into coherent, engaging scripts. This saves quite a bit of time compared to traditional writing methods. Once the script is polished, it is ready for the next phase of production.
Transforming scripts into professional videos
To further streamline the content creation process, we utilize Colossyan, a platform that employs AI "actors" to deliver the script. This technology eliminates the need for our consultants to engage in time-consuming video recording sessions, where they would need to manage lighting, sound quality and multiple takes.
This approach offers several benefits:
Time efficiency. The entire process, from outline to final video, is significantly faster than traditional methods.
Consistency. AI actors ensure a consistent tone and delivery, maintaining a professional standard across all content.
Resource allocation. Our consultants can focus on their core responsibilities without being bogged down by the intricacies of video production.
